On Friday, October 2nd I had the opportunity to sit down with Mark Lippert, who is a Mariemont alumn and Ambassador to South Korea. After graduating from MHS, Lippert eventually went on to study political science at Stanford University and earn a masters in international policy studies. Since then, Lippert has worked as a senior foreign policy advisor for Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, an intelligence officer for the Navy SEALS, and has recently been appointed to the U.S. Ambassador to South Korea. Learn more about his journey from Mariemont to Washington in our interview below.
