Marie Huenefeld (MHS ’59) Reflects on her Life of Service in the Mariemont Community

Distinguished Alumni, volunteer and longtime Mariemont community member, Marie Huenefeld spoke to the student body about her experiences and the importance of volunteering on Sept. 7.   Along with being the president of the Board of Education (BOE) five times, Huenefeld was a member of the BOE for 28 years after joining in November of 1987. She graduated from MHS in 1959 and continued her education at Ohio University, receiving a degree in journalism in 1963. Later, Huenefeld was selected as the Cincinnati Enquirer’s Woman of the year in 1999 and was also president and board member of Living Arrangements for the Developmentally Disabled (LADD).
