Top Things to Know for the Week of 10/7-11

What to know:

  • Homecoming!! Friday at 7 at home the football team plays Finneytown. The Homecoming dance is from 9-11 on Saturday in the main gym.  Tickets, boutonnieres, and corsages will be available for purchase starting Tuesday, October 8th. Corsages are $21 and  boutonnieres are $11. 
  • Spirit week is this week. To participate: Monday grout fit, Tuesday tie dye, Wednesday jersey, Thursday blue and gold, Friday class t-shirts.
  • Class float building has begun. Contact your class officers to find out location and times for building.
  • Tournaments begin this week for fall sports. Girls soccer plays the Williamsburg/Felicity winner on 10/17 at 7, Volleyball faces Norwood at Reading on 10/17 at 5, boys soccer plays CNE/ Purcell Marian winner on 10/19 at 7. Jack Neville plays for state golf championship Friday and Saturday, and Kate Taylor in Districts on Thursday. 
  • JV Girls Tennis won the Coach Classics Tennis Tournament on Saturday, October 4th. 
  • Cross country has CHLs this Saturday at Taylor.
  • Photography is introduced to a new project. The photography class goes on a “scavenger hunt” finding and taking pictures around campus.
  • The Warrior Run took place this past Saturday.
  • Junior Lot construction continues. New asphalt will be put on the driveway this coming week.
  • Club Meetings for the week: Pride+ every Friday lunch, Book club every Friday morning, NHS meeting Thursday after school, Art club every Thursday after school, SPA meeting for Juniors after school on Wednesday, FCA club every Tuesday morning
  • HolidaysYom Kippur on October 9th, Take your Teddy Bear to Work on October 9th, National Angel Food Cake Day on October 10th, World Egg Day on October 11th, and Queen Bee Marathon on October 12th 
  • Final Homecoming Court voting will happening towards the end of the week
  • Distinguished Alum will be visiting Mariemont High School on Friday, October 11th and having class meetings during 4th bell
